Indian Bob—This picture, ca 1929 (a year before Homer Mills died), shows a Russlend-Mills family Thanksgiving get-together, and one very strange man: Robert Alan Simmons, Bud's father. Purportedly, Robert Alan wanted to represent the Indian's for the holiday. The amused relatives are, from left to right:
(backrow) John Simmons (Robert Alan's brother), his unknown wife, Albert M. Russlend Jr., Myrtle C. Russlend (Albert's wife), Lena Russlend (Mother Mills' sister-in-law), Mother Mills, Homer Carhart "Pops" Mills (Mother Mills' husband), Teresa Russlend Heath (Mother Mills' sister), and Harry Heath (Teresa's husband).
(on floor) Ollie Mills Simmons, Robert Alan Simmons, unknown Russlend relative, Florence Heath Weber (daughter of Teresa and Harry), and behind the flowers, Elaine Weber (Florence's daughter).
