Taeda is Latin for a torch, specifically, a pine-pitch torch with pitch made from the tree: pinus taeda. It is said, Taeda represents creativity, new life, knowledge and children. It's an arcane term for what must now be an arcane membership. For, no mention of it can be found, even on the Web!
