This rudimentary map was found on the Web, and it depicts the townslands of Pomeroy parish. It is the only map my son could find
that even mentions Crannogue (you'll see it, the farthest name to the left). Using the scale lineation, you'll also see that the
townsland of Crannogue lies approximately three miles from the city of Pomeroy, which is near the top.
I find it very strange, however, that the city of Pomeroy (the little dot) is not shown as lying within the townsland of Pomeroy.
Everything about places and names in Ireland is confusing...
